Yin Yoga

In this practice we will relax the muscles and settle into poses for 2-5 minutes at a time (with props as needed) to access the deep connective tissues of the body and release deeply held tensions. This practice is helpful in supporting the well-being of the fascia, bones and joints, as well as supporting the overall flow of vital energy/life force throughout the body and bringing ease and space to the active mind. This is a lovely, slow practice that can help to balance out the busy-ness of our modern lifestyles. No experience necessary. Please join us and invite in the energy of gentleness, yielding, and allowance into your practice and your life.

Virtual Prana Power Hour (NEW!)

This energy oriented hour is geared toward giving you a pranic (energetic) boost as you embark upon the day including the practices of meditation, mantra, pranayama (breathing exercises) and just a few specially selected asanas (postures) to help ground you at the close of the session. This class is designed with the intention of supporting the participant in stepping into their day with clarity, intention, and their highest vibration by inviting them to connect with the source of power within them. Never done these practices before? No worries! All are welcome. As a large portion of class will be seated, participants are welcome to utilize the use of props for sitting or a chair as needed. As mentioned above, there will be some asana (postures), but only a few poses to help ground the energy of the practice. We will also engage in some light joint opening prior to sitting in order to sit with greater comfort and ease for the majority of the practice.The class itself is not focused on physical movement, but more so on the subtle internal practices listed above. Come join us in our online practice and experience these subtle, yet powerful methods for improving your overall flow of energy. These are some of my favorite practices and I am thrilled to share them with those who are interested in participating.

Virtual Gentle Hatha Yoga

This class is ideal for beginners and those experienced practitioners who would like to slow down their practice.  Class is taught in the Hatha Yoga style, moving slowly and with purpose and attention to alignment, and holding positions for a number of breaths.  Class incorporates the principles of Ayurveda into the practice, recognizing the elements and qualities most prevalent in each season and selecting practices to help support the balance of these elements within us. Class will include meditation, pranayama (breathing exercises), asana (postures), and savasana (relaxation), and will include postures for building strength, balance, and flexibility, as well as improving vital energy (prana) flow.  Through the experience of breath, gentle exertion, and focus, individuals will practice to enhance their overall sense of peace, balance, and connection.

Slow Flow Vinyasa Yoga (moderate intensity level)
This class is a moderate, but invigorating flow of asana linked with breath.  It is moderately paced, allowing time to settle into the proper alignment for each pose and is structured to promote energy flow, gentle cleansing, and fluidity of movement, helping the body to be balanced in flexibility and strength. Vinyasa, or breath synchronized movement, is a beautiful way to reconnect with your natural rhythm, as well as to cleanse and revitalize your being as a whole. The principles of Ayurveda are incorporated into the practice, recognizing the elements and qualities most prevalent in each season and selecting practices to help support the balance of these elements within us. Participants should be prepared for continuous movement up and down on the mat. Class includes asana (posture), pranayama (breathing exercises), meditation and relaxation and is recommended for the mildly experienced yoga practitioner or the beginner who is body aware and has some familiarity with asana (posture).
Wednesdays 6-7pm

Class Costs:

Session rate by class paid in full up front: $9/class
Drop-in rate: $11/class
Unlimited Class Session Pass: $100/session *Take as many classes in the session as you like, and as an added bonus you may join the monthly Yoga Nidra practice for FREE. There is tremendous value in this for those who wish to take part in more classes per week. If you wish to take 3 classes per week, this is the most cost effective method for you, dropping your session cost from $108 to $100 and adding in the bonus of the Yoga Nidra class ($12 Value). If you take one class per day for the session the classes end up only being $5/class, and if you take part in the Yoga Nidra class that amount drops to around $4/class. This pass begins and ends with the session. No exceptions. Renew it each session as you like and enjoy a regular yoga practice with the support of your teacher and your sangha (sacred community).

While energy exchange is important between entities engaging in any practice, it is equally important that the light of these practices being offered be accessible to those who desire it. If anyone is experiencing financial hardship and needs to receive a reduced rate or utilize a payment plan, please contact Kamala Devi. 

Registration Deadline for the Late Spring Virtual Yoga Session 2021: May 14, 2021.

In order to ensure that a class has enough participants to run, registration must be complete by the above mentioned deadline. It will still be possible to take part in the session if you must sign up at a later date, however, if there are not enough participants signed up for a particular class by the deadline, then that class will not run for the session. So be sure to register today!
